6:48 on a friday afternoon, a weekend of nothing stretches ahead and what do I do? I create a blog.
well i wrote that over an hour and a half ago. I ended up making bruchetta 'al'e georgia' style for mums stamping group tonight. Bagguettes cut to 1 1/2 cm thickness, coated in basil pesto or toamato relish and topped with tomato, olives, peppers, houlini and feta. Yummo!
i find it hard to write about one particular topic for a lond time. Just like I find it hard to write novella's or novels. Short stories are much, much better and more inspirational. You can capture a moment in time, a small snippet and describe and depict to the extreme, which is what i loveeee doing. and listeing to andrew bird is even more inspirational. which reminds me, I finished my poem for english! its based on 'mango tree' by angus and julia stone 8D as i was listening to it when I wrote it. wanna see?
beneath the lemon tree we sit,
singing our love songs and lullabies,
watching the birds dart and flit,
between the leaves that told those lies,
theres me, you and the whole world to,
hungry eyes and lonely souls,
who chooses? those that flew?
those who choose when death calls?
but now its us and the animals,
along in a moment of thought,
we dream and watch the autumn leaf fall,
and wonder why to here we were brought,
so who decided where we'd stand,
in the chapel of all above?
away from those dull and bland,
we sing our songs and watch the dove.
so who chooses were the angel flies?
who chooses where they land?
in harmony we sit with our lullabies,
whilst those above choose next who will be damned.
